Welding and Metalwork Courses
Evening Class. Learn Plasma cutting and MIG welding to make your own garden sculpture

This is a 3 hour evening course where you will design and make your own garden/plant pot sculpture. Using 2mm Mild steel you will draw out and plasma cut your design. You will then weld together your components and weld them to 8mm bar in order to push into the earth. So come prepared with what you want to cut out!.
You could cut out your favourite animal or maybe your favourite cartoon character. You can draw your design freehand or even bring a print-out of your design to make things easier!
This course is suitable for anyone wishing to try and discover welding and plasma cutting for the first time.
1 Day Welding Course MIG TIG and STICK

This is a one day intensive welding course where you can try out and practice all 3 welding processes with a variety of metals, or focus on one of your choice.
For example:
- Mild Steel and Stainless TIG
- Aluminium TIG
- Copper and Brass Brazing TIG
- Mild Steel and Stainless Stick
- Mild steel and Stainless MIG
This course is suitable for anyone wishing to try and discover welding for the first time, or for anyone who wants to update their welding knowledge by concentrating on a process of their choice.
2 Day Metalwork Taster Course

This two day course will introduce you to different methods and techniques used within the metal industry, and you will come away with a finished product at the end (ornamental garden flower, weather vane or a wall mounted coat rack).
What will you be doing over the two days:
- Hot forming of metal using the forge
- Cold forming of metal – folding, rolling, and shaping
- Welding – TIG, MIG and stick
- Plasma cutting
- Grinding
- Metal finishing – painting, polishing, mark making, engraving
